Mourinho sa efter tiden i Real Madrid att Lionel Messi är den klart bäste spelaren något av hans mött. ”Det finns ingen tuffare motståndare än Messi som jag stött på, någonsin. Han är på gränsen till en komplett spelare och gör det alltid tufft för mina försvarare”.

”Det är lättare att vinna en titel med Messi än någon annan spelare”. Orden kommer från José Mourinho efter att Messi briljerat i Champions League under våren. Dock blev det ingen CL-titel den säsongen för Messi och hans Barcelona.
